PRAD gives color to the City-Candles by DIPTYQUE

The glasses of the DIPTYQUE candle collection which tells the story of 9 cities, were decorated in France by PRAD, relying on its liquid metallization, lacquering and screen printing technologies. Thanks to their combination complex decorations can be obtained by materials' effects and patterns of variable finesse, achievable only by meticulous work. Far from the standards, special effect inks have been used and reworked to bring light and shine. Each of the jar, one of a kind, met a technical challenge, due to its conical shape.

The London and Hong Kong candle glasses were respectively metallized - including the shiny silver and shiny pink, then screen printed. The Shanghai candle jar is gloss-red lacquered while those of New York, Miami, Berlin, Beverly Hills, Tokyo and Paris were matt lacquered. All 9 have been screen printed with effect ink.

As a reminder, PRAD's liquid metallization process, that is exceptional in France, has been fully reviewed in consultation with regional environmental stakeholders, including DREAL. PRAD is a member of the "Industry of the future 2.0" program of the Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes Region.
