INNOVATION LIES IN TRANSPARENT METALLIZATION!

French specialist in liquid metallization PRAD uses its expertise to create refined and durable bottles and jars, renewing the codes of luxury. Interview with CEO and owner Bruno Pierrain.
What's new at PRAD?
Our latest creations reveal a trend towards chic, transparent metallization! For example, we metalized the translucent gold bottle for the new fragrance "I want Choo Le Parfum". The material and light effects reflect the boldness and glamor of the Jimmy Choo brand. Previously, for Coach Platinum, another Interparfums brand, we developed a transparent silver metallization highlighting the curves and embossed logo, combining modernity and finesse. The challenge for our teams was to achieve perfect and even intensity. We are now able to measure and guarantee the level of transparency.
Why this craze for translucent liquid metallization?
It offers unlimited possibilities for innovation and differentiation for perfume bottles and cosmetic jars. By combining it with laser engraving and silk-screening, PRAD enables brands to play with transparency, metallic nuances and gradations to create unique designs down to the smallest detail. These processes enable us to achieve the delicacy and elegance sought by our cus-tomers, while guaranteeing an exceptional level of quality.
Are these aesthetic innovations also virtuous?
Our chemical engineers design and develop formulas adapted to the most demanding specifications (such as L'Oréal's "U test", etc.). What's more, this technique allows for complete recyclability, giving metallized packaging an exemplary environmental performance. These low-energy processes reflect our CSR commitments on a daily basis.
